New Delhi: Snapchat has teamed up with restaurant review website The Infatuation to help Snap Map users find the best local restaurants near them.
Infatuation reviews will now appear automatically in Place Profiles in more than 50 cities around the world for Snapchatters from all over the world.
Snap Map introduced Layers last year as a new way for Snapchatters to find things to do with their friends on the photo-sharing platform.
“Our first two Layers alone have been used over 100 million times in just a few months,” Snapchat said in a statement on Friday.
Then there’s The Infatuation. Snapchatters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, D.C., and London can use the Layer to find top Infatuation-approved restaurants in their neighborhoods.
“Go to our new menu in the upper right corner of the Snap Map, and tap The Infatuation icon,” they must do.
After activating the Layer, Snapchatters will be able to see all of their favorite local restaurants and share their favorites with friends via chat, as well as add restaurants to their favorites to revisit later.
Snapchat partnered with Ticketmaster earlier this year to launch a new way for Snap Map users to discover live entertainment events.
Snap Map is used by more than 250 million people each month, according to the company.
